  1. I think the Russian offensive will fail, we are talking about lots of poorly motivated Russian troops attacking at lots of Highliy motivated Ukr troops in trenches and fortified positions. True the Russian have a lot of AFVs and artillery and are smartening up in their command. Leadership still is abysmal. The Russians are probably trying to untangle their logistic problems. Putin last throw of the dice will fail and Putin I think might use a lot of chemical weapons to keep his army from being destroyed by the Ukrainians. war ends both sides declare victory, Russia annexes eastern donbass Ukraine joins the EU. Later Ukr economy booms due to massive investments and aid from the west, Russian economy mired in depression and Putin is dead before the year ends. Political chaos in Russia. Chinese take oever the Russian economy

After the Russians are much weakened, out of supply from the hit and run attacks of Ukrs toyota trucks. that is when you unleash the Ukrs strategic AFV reserves. as a coup de grace, very similiar to Mongol strategy with horse archers, pepper enemy in hit and run attacks and when properly weakened, unleash the heavy armored cavalry to coup de grace, .So Imagine Ukrainian fleets of Toyota pick up trucks as horse archers, and the tanks as the heavy cavalry.

Instead of tanks NATO and esp. the USA should give Ukraine fleets of Toyota Hilux and Tacoma pick up trucks, with weapons mounts, bullet proof bodies and glass windows their speed and mobility can be deadly in the hard ground open plains terrian of Southern Ukraine. hit and run shoot and scoot attacks on roundbound Russian AFV and truck columns. also good surprise night attacks are key. also use swtichblade drone swarms to destroy logistics and Russian artillery parks. from distance .   6.  @damianketcham  Yep encourage the Russians to fall over a cliff so the Chinese can pick up the pieces, Russia and Central Asia is very important to the CHinese lots of cheapo natural resources, Russians have valualbe weapons tech the Chinese can use all that. in fact the only thing keeping the CHinese from dominating hte area is strong Russian leadership under Putin. without Putin, well the Chinese have the Russian over the barrelll having lent them lots of money and without Putin Chinese shopping spree in Russia and Central Asia.
