RFK jr. should learn from the Vietnam war, the North Vietnamese fought on hard because htey had high morale and motivation , the Russians in ukraine fought badly and poor morale since they dont know why they are in Ukraine. they dont support the war, they were sent to ukraine either by force or coercion with money.

The Russians know they cant conquer all of Ukraine, so their strategy right now is to tire Ukraine, to break the Ukrainian will to fight and keep what ever they have conquered which they will spin as a victory.

  8.  @oddclod  yah but in the whole grand scheme of things USA was more critical in allied victory than USSR was, USA supplied all the allied combatants with massive amounts of weapons, vehicles , food. if not for the USA food weapons tanks and planes and 5K trucks shipped to the USSR, the USSR would have a much harder time throwing back the Germans and blasting the Germans in Berlin.

  9. very simple, Putin invaded Ukraine since he thought 1. Ukraine would easilly fold, putin was probably given wrong intel by the FSB. 2. the west won do anything. Well Putin was not only wrong but he stepped into shit which will destroy him and probably Russia too. Yep I highly agree with RFK jr in that Ukraine is a proxy war by the west, with teh aim of weakening Russia and removing Putin. Then again proxy wars are done by everyone Soviets supported the North Vietnamese and VC to bog down the USA in Vietnam, USA supported the Afghan mujahadeen to bog down the Soviets, Russians covertly supported the Taliban and Iraqi insurgents vs. the USA and the coalition. and the insurgency wars in Angola, Lebanon , Yugoslavia , philippines, etc. etc. etc the list goes on with Proxy wars.

Yes I think 2024 is a very important year for both sides of the war since its the USA 2024 presidential elections and I think its pivotal to determining the final outcome of this war, and Putin will do everything to get trump or someone like him to win the elections and cut off aid to UKraine, and force Ukraine to an armistice. So yah expect this war to get a lot worse in 2024 as Putin has his back to the wall. and getting very desperate so his regime survives and he does not fall out of a window. So yah Putin will probably do: 1. Full mobilization, and go to total war footing as PUtin has nothing to lose and very desperate. 2. Escalate the confrontation between Russia and NATO to the point of near war status, to scare US voters to vote for a pro peace candidate. also crash the markets and put the US economy into recession. Putin and the Russian elites will be watching the events of the 2024 USA elections and the results will have a pivotal impact on the war. If Trump (or someone like him) wins, war ends in 2025 or 2026 with an armistice with Russia with the Russians keeping whatever they won in Ukraine. Putin will spin this as a victory and his regime survives. or if Biden wins war ends in 2025 or 2026, USA further increases aid to Ukraine maybe even more sanctions on Russia, Russia may try all out desperate offensives to try to inflict as much damage on the Ukrainians and dig in again for the 2028 US elections. but I think the Russian economy cannot take the strain of 4 more years of the war anymore, Russian economists forecast that the Russian economy can last until 2025 or 2026 before it starts faltering badly. and military analysts forecast that Russia will have tank and APC shortages by 2026, judging by the rate of loss of Russian tanks and APCs in the war. Russian elites will probably move to oust Putin and his clique from power in order to save as much of their economy as possible stop the war , remove sanctions and move to much better relations with the west, and probablyi order a complete withdrawal from Ukraine including the crimea. Russians will cut their losses.

  19. and the Chechens fought back twice. the first time, they fought back successfully the Russian army was totally embarassed. and no one was really supporting the Chechens. and Kadyrov yah he may look like a clown , but he is actually smart, he is playing games in Moscow to promote Chechnya and his leadership position. and maintaining his autonomy. Of all the Russian republics Chechnya has the most autonomy and the strongest military. And Kadyrov is positioning himself after putin is gone and Russia starts falling apart, he would have the military force to declare Chechnya an independent state supported by the Turks, Azeris, Saudi arabia and probably try to annex the rest of the Russian fed caucasus.

I think the majority of Russians want nothing to do with this war. but feel they cant do anything about it. many of the older russians support the war but are not willing to die for it. wonder why you dont see Russians volunteering en masse for the war, and Putin has to mobilize Russians to fight , and why milion of Russians fled out of Russia to escape mobiilization.

  30.  @oddclod  well yes and no the Canadians did not really carry the USA however Canada contributed greatly in terms of industry and the million troops who fought for the allies mostly in Europe. Canada also greatly aided the war effort esp. in terms of production of weapons and supplies.

Dont think so, I dont think it will be frozen conflict, in fact, Russia will withdraw from Ukraine completely cvut its losses kick out PUtin and his clique and restore relations with the west and have all sanctions removed, Russia after this war is over will have a much weaker Moscow gov and army, it will mostly be intact after a period of chaos, then the real powers will be the Oligarchs and their PMCs. They will not allow another Putin to take over Russia and they really will be busy will trying to recover. I dont think Russia will be bothering with their neighbours for the next few decades or more learning from the lesson of the Ukraine war.
