  1. Interesting that Russia held back until now to unleash its missle stockpile on the Ukrs . I tihnk the Russians have been holding back due to fears of possible war with NATO, with teh Russians getting desperate it has finally unleashed its missles, also I think many of the stored missles did not work and took refurbishing and repair to get them into working order. so I expect this missle swarm to remain for the next few months. I dont think Ukraine will surrender.

  2. I agree Surovikin is very competent however still obeys Putin a lot and has influence over Putin's decisions, I think Putin may be less micromanaging this war. and listening more to Surovikin. That happens when Russian leaders get deperate and Putin is desperate to eke out a "win" n this war. I still however think Ukraine will win this war by mid 2023. with a collapse of the Russian gov and economy. Very hard to knock out the Ukr gov. and they are very very adamant that the only negoatiation they will go to is a total Russian withdrawal from Ukraine nothing less. and for Putin that is tantamount of political suicide.

I think the west is probably supplying Ukraine with oil and coal powered heaters yes it will be a very cold winter but Ukraine will fight on not surrender. and I can see the Rusians formulating a major winter or spring offensive however remains to be seen how the Russians go about that, I think a major Russian spring and winter offneisve will be a disaster . and Yes the RUssians are getting better at fighting this war, its troops are still poor morale mostly poor training but on a strategic level the Russians are improving esp. in using missles an drones. Lets see how long the Russians can keep up with this missle drone campaign vs. Ukr. Also Russia has recently borrowed 20 billion uSD from its debt market to continue fighting the war. Yes the war is getting more expensive day by day for the Russians. I personally dont think the missles and drones alone will win this war, but boots on the ground, and Russian troops are still in the same state, yes large numbers of them with poor logistics, poor training and demoralized. Poor morale. with poor leadreship, poor command and control. and winter is coming, Both sides are going to suffer this winter but the Ukrs are better prepared for it, the Russians poorly prepared. I think if a major Russian winter offensive occurs it will be a typical sledgehammer brutal slog as usual. WW2 style.
