After the war is over and Russia has lost the war, there will be a LOT of recriminations, accusations, excuses, on the Russian side, many will blame Putin and his cronies for everything , some will blame the west, many Russians will make excuses that they are also victims of Putin and of course you will have a small lot who still love Putin and think he was right. Well as for all of them there will be massive karma. The war will be a total lose lose for Russia at all levels. top to bottom, how about political and economic chaos will sees Russia is a gradual slide to break up of some sort. a situation simliar to Mexico in 1910s or China in the 1920s. where you had a fragile and unstable central gov that changes several times that has to deal with various warring factions. and practically no control over most of the country(except the major cities). and this unrest will be bloody, and brutal. The Russians will wish they had prevented Putin from invading ukraine.

  2. I think it will take decades after the war, at least two decades, of bloody brutal civil war(or maybe not even civil war but bad political economic social chaos). Russian prestige and pride rock bottom into the toilet, for the Russians to come around and become a proper European state. Not surprsied you might even have UN or even NATO troops deployed in Russia for peace keeping.

  3. and before the said Russian strong man succeeds putin, it seems all the Russian candidates are forming their own PMC private armies, and you know the mentality of the strongmen when the big boss is kaput, and there is a power struggle and they all have private armies and add to that Mafia like criminal mentality in the Russian gov .....civili war, there will be a period of civil war before the winner is crowned champion. over a devastated Russia. Just like Mexico after 10 years of civil war, or China after 33 years of civil war and Japanese invasion.
