and a militarized society is very bad when you lose the war, will contribute to unrest as large portions of the Russian popualtion are armed and have military training, and angry at the Russian gov in the midst of political and economic chaos. ....= we got a revolution civil war. Add to that Oligarchs are starting to form their own PMCs and private armies, even Gazoprom has a PMC. add to the mix, thousand of angry unpaid Russian ukraine war veterans unemployed with the PMCs being the only ones to pay them, plus rumbles of secession among the poor non Russian ethnic areas of the Russian federation. Also outside meddling from USA, China, Turkey etc.

Yes Putin is alreadyi shifting more of the Russian economy to a war economy, ive read currently 25 percent of hte Russian economy is devoted now to the war in Ukraine. As Putin gets more desperate, Putin will shift the Russian economy to a total war economy. This will be disastrous for Russia after the war is over since it will contribute to the economic collapse of Russia post war.

the longer this war goes the end of Putin and Russia gets even worse. as they say the higher they go up and harder they come down.

I think the Russian army leadership finally put its foot down and demanded to Putin to hobble Prigozhin or else, Putin had to agree with his military . meanwhile kadyrov and prigo did not even attend the Putin's big speech a few days ago. Kadyrov also stated he is forming his own private army. The base of a future Russian civil war is forming up. and seems Putin is losing political power from all this infighting. and if you look at the audience during his speech, most of them looked like they did not want to be in the room, like a bunch were sleeping, rolling their eyes, looked very unhappy, heck even Lavrov looked like he did not want to be there.

@SiliconCurtain Yep as said earlier, Russia will be a massive geopolitical problem after the war is over. Like China of the 1920s in civil war and under warlord rule.

and there is even a civil war within the Russian ultra nationlist mil blogger commnity with a bunch supporting Prigozhin fighting with anti Prigo critics like Igor Girkin.

this is a good video on the current state of the Russian economy. main takeaways the Russian economic numbers a well doctored the true Russian economy in 2023 is smaller than Chile , Russia needs the oil prices to be 60 USD just to break even. since it costs Russia 45 USD to take a barrell of oil from the ground and 12 USD to ship the barrel of oil. and India and China are getting 20 to 30 percent discounts buying Russian oil. Russia in effect is losing half a billion USD a day in just oil sales alone. , massive flight of foreign investors from Russia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QU0resswOds

@SiliconCurtain Yep and all two decades and trillions of USD of building up the Russian military for this moment and turning out to be nearly a masssive disappointment ,a waste of time and money and PUtin has to rely on a massive amount of military stockpiled equipment bult up since the cold war which also turn out to be mainly unusuable due to corruption and poor maintenance....
