well the Russian invasion was a boon to the west as it allowed them to trap Russia is a bloody war that will eventually pull Russian power down significantly, in fact, its a bit better than Ukraine performed very well, and held up and stalemated the Russians in a attritional conventional war which is much better than a guerilla war, since a attritional conventional war does a lot more damage to a country's economy military and political stability in a shorter amount of time . This war has been a catastrophe for Russia. Even if Putin manages to get out of it with his regime intact, his army economy and political stability will be significantly weakened by the war.
