The NBA is rigged because it’s the easiest to rig. Just call fouls whenever you see a guy bump another guy or reach in for the ball. The NFL is also rigged, but it’s a little harder. One good way refs rig the game is with the defensive holding penalty. Saw them doing it to the Saints a few years back, but it wasn’t just them. Defense makes a great stop, but if the ref wants the offense to continue the drive, they just flag defensive holding. Gives the offense five yards and an automatic first down. It guarantees that if the offense REALLY needs to score, you can get them that score. NHL is harder to rig overall. You can’t call tripping if there is no trip. Everyone knows what boarding is. You can’t take the puck out of the net. Offsides isn’t a problem anymore. I guess slashing and cross checking is basically the only thing you can try to spam as a ref but if it’s not happening then everyone is going to know. Baseball can be rigged with balls and strike calls but it’s been pretty well observed that the umpires have an incredibly difficult job there. Some are terrible and some are good. Eventually they’ll have even more automation with those calls. What can be rigged is simply having players strike out on purpose or make a defensive error on purpose. But you have to get the player on board with cheating. So I don’t know. MMA could be rigged but we saw what happened when a fighter threw a fight a while back. His coach is gone permanently, he’s gone permanently, and everyone associated with him in any way is gone until they disassociate.
