  1. Actually, he wouldn’t have fired until much later. You’re not way off base by thinking that, but those snipers are given orders not to fire at that range due to other police in the immediate area. Years ago snipers shot a guy who was outside the fence specifically because he was firing a pistol at the WH. I have a low level knowledge of the policies and orders those guys have because I have worked a WH detail with the SS when I was attached to a Special Forces Group in 2012. I got to talk a lot with the SS agents who don’t wear suits. Like, the guys on the roof and on the ground wearing tactical gear. Not the POTUS detail guys. It was cool but it’s a hard job being switched on at all times. Those guys basically stay on orange in Cooper’s color scale. That’s HIGHLY stressful.
