@purple7vi0let Decency and manners? LOL. You should read about the history of big industry and corporations. There has never ever been the first sign of manners and decency in that domain. Older folks only falsely believe that there was because they’re suckers for advertising.

Cops can get bonuses for all sorts of reasons, they can be rewarded with their choice of off-duty cash jobs, they can given awards, promotions, preferred duty assignments, pay raises, choice of training opportunity, etc. You need to think more creatively. There are a million different ways a cop can be rewarded for being the guy who writes the most tickets. Or the guy who finds the biggest drug bust. Why else have cops been caught planting drugs in cars? Why else would speed traps exist that make millions of dollars for tiny towns like Waldo, Florida? You think the street cops aren’t getting any benefit from that? Take off those blue shaded glasses and start seeing the real world for what it is. I shouldn’t have to explain this to you.
