Small town guy here. This is not only true, but the “good ones” are usually not that good. I moved to this small town to get away from everything, but after a few years I realized that people in small towns have so many skeletons in their closets it’s like the walking dead. Every Sunday these little churches are packed to the ceiling, but then on Monday when I go to work in the small rural ER, the old people are flooding in for their drug fixes. Plus, my town is full of cheating women and swingers, and the ones who aren’t are all inbred. I’m looking to sell the house when the market improves and move to a college town with a nice hospital. Gainesville is great.

@halycon404 A lot of what you say is something I can avoid. I’m married and our marriage is great and gets stronger everyday. We also have some history in Gainesville and my wife has worked at Shands in the past.
