  1.  @srschriver  Canada is only about 1.6% larger than the US. Do you consider 1.6% to be "much larger"? And what are the "several other countries" on the North American continent? Mexico is the only other country in North America besides the US and Canada. And when you're talking about USEFUL land, the US absolutely demolishes both Canada and Mexico combined.
