The EU thought no such thing. They did think that Russia would trample all over Ukraine in short order, but it never happened! Ukraine exceeded all expectations. They humiliated the “great” Russian army on the world stage. Such is the fighting spirit of the Ukrainian people 😊

@cee5429 Respectfully, I do appreciate your opinion but must still stand over my own. Our opinions are equal and both could be wrong, who knows. However, the Russian economy certainly appears to be in severe trouble. That's the growing consensus across the board from learned economists worldwide. Even Putin himself has admitted that it's not good.

@cee5429 Yes, I think it's important to read and view as much info as possible in order to shape an informed opinion. I genuinely hope this conflict will end soon and a "permanent, fair, and just peace for Ukraine" can be brokered by President Trump.

@Panaputra You are wrong! It most certainly is Ukraine defending itself from the evil aggressor. There are no NATO or US troops in Ukraine. Ukraine was merely given the weapons to be able to defend itself. This is in keeping with the UN charter. It is Russia that is breaking all international laws and committing crimes against humanity on a daily basis. The Russian leader is a criminal fugitive who will be arrested if he enters any one of over 120 countries worldwide.
