  1. I think it's TRAGIC because he clearly had a LOT to say and share with the rest of the world.... This wilderness period was meant to be a challenge not his destination or end. I am sure he would have written a book and shared his life-experiences and learnings, had he returned from Alaska.... Chris' story has always fascinated me - I empathize, so much, with his life story. Could easily have happened to me...
