^ I don't think THAT example is a good example of not showing vulnerability - BTW, i notice u said 'weakness' - so i'm more talking to the other guys here in the comments.
I'm almost 100% sure,.. maybe 95% sure there were many other factors involved that lead to her leaving, NOT that you showed emotions once.
You said, 'struggling emotionally'....What did you mean by that?...It sounds like maybe a LOT more WAS GOING ON, than just breaking down, once, in front of your wife ONCE....
Being stoic in the face of trauma is not a BLACK and WHITE thing (not showing your emotions). It's a finesse thing. A 'grey' thing. If you show ZERO emotions, that's not good either!
(U'd be perceived as 'cold and unfeeling'. No woman wants that either!)
What Griffin and others are trying to teach is not to be 'WEAK'!...
E.g. if you kept on crying, over indulging in emotion, perhaps for many days after, leaning on her, expecting her to support u emotionally, letting it effect your day to day... <-- THAT is the 'weakness' that turns women off.... - THAT is what you shouldn't be showing to them - You can still 'show' it, just choose another person... If you need help, go to a professional or a mate. ^All that staunch or 'stoic' stuff doesn't mean you can't squeeze out a tear during a very sad movie....
Do you see the difference? It's being in control of your emotional times. <-- That is the key. (Women don't feel safe, instinctually, if you are not in control of your emotions)
Sorry if i'm not being clear, i think i just did a horrible job explaining it, so if you want to know more either respond or msg me!
Hope you are doing MUCH better now and to all here*, ✌, ❤ & mung beans!
* It sounds like (saw some other comments later after i read 1st one) she was emotionally immature.....
