The moment 911 calls get the msg that he has a possible MENTAL HEALTH issue dispatchers should pass that on and the unit sent should be a special unit, specially trained for mental health cases - i recon if such a dept existed at least 60% or more of these shootings could be avoided. I'm not saying that regular officers are doing anything wrong at all but that the government needs to put $$$ toward training all police more on alternative ways to handle mental health issues and perhaps even have special units... Maybe that's an extra respopnsibility SWOT/TRG (or whatever they are in your country) could train in?... Although, perhaps those guys aren't the best personality type for it... I feel like it should be a whole new unit... Just got to the end... Wait, is it LEGAL to shoot someone for getting disobeying and getting out of the car?!!! (He wasn't moving toward officer(s) in a threatening manner and I certainly wouldn't feel threatened at that point...i mean, had could move back and see what the guy was going to do before shooting...)
