  2. No offense bu that's an irrelevant comment - Of course no amount of training, expertise or de-escalation will equal 100% success rate..... Fact is 100% proven & demonstrable, that ppl with de-escalation skills and training in both dealing with disturbed people and or grappling have a much higher success rate. I've also seen several examples of this first hand. EVERYONE who's worked with cops or security knows that one guy who has an uncanny knack of being able to 'talk down', almost anyone, seeming like magic! And likewise, we also all know that other one guy, who always seems to escalate things from bad to worse! Always agitating the person they have to deal with! @newaccountdoesnotequaltrol6409

  4. lol that's not how i meant it but i am 50 and have had a lot of experience and seen a lot and watched hundreds and hundreds of such encounters - i'm not talking about general operating procedure but in this case, it seemed clear that it would have been better to just hold off.... Literally doing nothing, even for just a couple of minutes, can sometimes be just the thing, for an enraged person to cool down a bit.... - i don't even remember this one right now... this was 3 weeks ago... @jaydee9086
