I used to cut my husband's hair (I am Virginia), and wouldn't dream of doing it in the house. Clean-up is so much easier outdoors. (If your hair is long enough, the birds can use it.) For feet, my husband and I keep rectangular tubs, often used for washing dishes, as footbaths. They are wonderful in summer when you are too hot. Although applied only to the feet, footbaths tend to cool off the whole body, which is great when cooling devices are at a premium. I once saw on a TV news segment, when they were interviewing tank members deployed in the desert and cooped up all day in their tanks, using these very same plastic "dish pans" as foot baths, the only device they had for cooling (or cleansing) at the time. Plus, those tubs are so useful for many other things one regularly encounters.
