  4.  @harttraveller  It was a long time ago but I remember it like it was yesterday. My brother would toss his wet towel on the heater and it would dry this day mom had to leave early she didn't turn the heater off. Brother did as he usually did but this time the towel set the house on fire. First time in my life I wasn't sleeping on the floor. We worked so hard fixing the house up. It was years of work all we got to live there was maybe 6 weeks . Just super frustrating having to go behind an older brother that was so flippant. He wrecked cars activity destroyed them too he still does. At one point insurance company told him that the only way they could insure him was if he had a driver. He borrowed tools never returned , borrowed money never paid back. I come along 4 years younger and he left a path like general Sherman. Yes I slept out doors , I have eaten begged food. I lived pillar to post for a lot of my life because of people like that in my life. One lesson in life that has always been true. The Lord 🙏 blesses the child that has his own. In other words be like the boy scouts and be prepared. Plan for the worse JIC you can't hit the required minimalism goal.

  10. I had my back broken by a tornado in Tx 99 I could not sit through any wind without breaking out in a cold sweat after ward. I still don't do so well with storms when we get a hurricane I usually evac last year I stayed for a cat 1 I will NEVER do that again I just was not comfortable with that I don't trust the weather. I rather be in a good building out the danger zone in another STATE ! RIP Weather dudes storm chasing is just not safe unless you have a specialized vehicle even then DANGER !

  13. I know I use to be a trucker I had to list all accidents and tickets no matter if I was at fault or not. That crash right there cost that driver a fraction of a point. I got where I got a point on my record becasue of the STUPID SHIT other drivers did. And it made it where I had trouble getting hired because of them not me. People hitting my vehicle in the rear usually and most the time they were DRUNK. When a trucker has a drunk hit the back of his truck he should get points taken off his record since he got a moron off the road and gave them solid to hit other than a person, on a MC bike car jogger you know how it happens. The drunk hits a jogger since they are drunk they drive off the jogger is later found dead. Happens all the time.

IF YOU HAVE YOUR WEAPON ON YOU THEN YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR DOCUMENTS READY WHERE YOU DON'T HAVE TO SEARCH FOR THEM. I feel this officer did the wrong thing we have a lot of chicken little's on the force and these people need to be removed they are not fit for the job. This officer could have stepped aside and been out of target acquisition of his perp. To shoot first is such a terrible way to deal with this. To hire pussies that are so damn scared they shoot the moment they hear gun is sickening. He made a mistake when he shot the man I don't think he did it on purpose and the man should not have started out with his statement that he is a licensed firearm or CCW holder etc he should immediately request a supervisor if he is carrying and sit there with both hands on the wheel. IF you have a gun on you you don't move if they ask for license insurance registration you tell them you can't move if you are armed if they ask why you say you are armed lawfully and you can't move you never take your hands off the wheel until all weapons have been secured. Since when does an inoperable tail light in the day light is a life or death situation? I can see this stop at night but day light ! That is not a good reason to conduct a traffic stop in the day light. This incident happened at the worst possible time. It turns my stomach to know they hire such ignorant pussies to stand behind the badge. We all know cops can be shot and if they take the proper steps they will not be shot but they are not to shoot people because they know a gun is present? Kind of like a PH balence of a product we need to have a balence of zero for a traffic stop to occur. Can't have police pointing guns at people while they search for document and the police can't be inattentive as if they are at a Sunday BBQ. You can't be sitting there with cell phone in hand when the police are going to your car if you want to record the police stop you set it up and set the phone down but you can't have things in your hand when they are conducting a traffic stop. You can't have your engine running it must be turned off 4 way flashers on and keys should be on the dash or on the roof of the car. Both hands visible when you are told to get something repeat the order to insure you know what they said then as you are getting that item say you are getting that item out your wallet etc etc. You have to make it like everybody in the interaction is full blown retarded so nothing is accidentally mistaken for an insult or an attempt to get a weapon. A LOT of police work their 12 hours then they go work 8 or 10 hours some place else they do this day in and day out they fail to get enough sleep. IMHO they need to fill out a log book just like truckers do. A trucker can't drive a truck more than 11 hours they can't be on duty and drive after 14 hours they must complete a 10 hour rest period before they can return to duty. A lot more rules and laws apply but of you put police on the same duty restrictions I GUARANTEE you would see a lot of these incidents disappear.

  29. Here's the thing that bothers me the most about all this this cop working a full-time job is driving a car with a gun over a hundred twenty miles an hour on his way to another job. When I was a trucker the most I could drive or work was 14 hours a day if I went just one minute over that time it was a felony. They have had officers putting hours on the books chordate could maybe get 4 hours sleep a night. You tell me how that is legal.

  33. I was a witness to a collision the police brought me to court well I rode in the back of that police car to the parish seat the police officer was doing 90-plus miles an hour. The speed limit at the time was 55 miles an hour.
