Are you certain of that? Maybe so but increasingly we are seeing the very people who used to be counted upon to be the most patriotic are the ones who seem most disillusioned about the nation.

as an american I think a break up is inevitable. I can't see how people who are so diametrically opposed and so full of hate and mistrust can continue together.

Provided we don't have our own second civil war, which seems increasingly possible, also provided that our outrageous spending doesn't bankrupt us and cause us to bleed out all of our strength.
