  1. Why should the USA even have a strategy towards Ukraine? We are happy to help them, but ultimately this is a European problem. It’s going on 3 years now, and the Europeans still haven’t spun up their military industrial complex. The USA does not have territories in Europe. We have territories in the Pacific to mind. The USA is not a land power. It never has been. The Russo-Ukraine War is a land war. This is a European problem, not an American problem.

  2.  @nigelgarrett7970  It was. The USA should never have involved itself in WWI, WWII, or the Cold War. Those were all mistakes. I am totally ready for the USA to stop exporting weapons and ammunition to the rest of the world. We make too much death.

American exports outside of NAFTA are only 4% of GDP. Our exports don’t justify the headache. The EU is not a consumption market. They are too old. Same with the PRC and Japan.

Only 4% of American GDP involves exports outside of NAFTA. Try again. The USA will finish reshoring its manufacturing, and then it can close itself to European and Chinese goods. The USA is not about to cede a square inch of its territory to the Chinese. We fought very hard for those islands.

  6.  @got2bharmony  The world is neither smaller nor larger than it ever was. The only problem is the connections. Severing those connections is the work of today and tomorrow. We were told globalism would bring us peace. It has failed in this. And it’s expensive. Past time to abandon it.

  8. The USA no longer has any strategic or economic interests in the Middle East. We have a lingering sentimental connection to Israel. That is all.
