"Men, and corporate agents in particular, are as rapacious and malevolent as they have ever been" The difference being that one corporate agent has much, much more influence than one citizen.

@AlwaysAwesome001 Nearly all corporations influence government by lobbying. Many corporations are financing presidential candidates.

@AlwaysAwesome001 " The government has too much power" - and corporations are controlling government.

You never understood that a SCOTUS interpretation is not meant to be fixed forever. If this were the case, we still would hold that "blacks are separate but equal". See, Stare Decisis is a common law doctrine. The interpretation of the Constitution is not bound by common law principles.

@alexwyatt2911 Nonsense. The US legal system is a mixture of common law and statutory law. Apparently it has escaped your attention that the US has a written Constitution. And that there are numerous ways of how to interpret it, all employed by SCOTUS, which are outside the common law system. The principle of not overturning past rulings frivolously is typical for all legal systems. And the SCOTUS is "supreme" because there is no instance above it. And not because it relies solely on Common Law. You are not only fully ignorant, but you are even unable to make a coherent argument.

I think that all sides of the political spectrum can agree upon this finding (by sides I mean real people, not corporations with legal personhood).

@michaelmurphy6195 Me neither but I am not sure why you are raising this argument.

@TheChopf26 I do not hate Trump. I try to look at his good and bad sides with cool consideration. And his financial independence is an asset. But he has quite a lot of negative sides too.

@TheChopf26 If you are interested which negative sides of Trump I see, just ask me, my friend.
