  2. Every trait is either masculine or feminine based upon whether that trait is more prevalent in men or women. So if a trait is "toxic" it can be a trait characterized as toxic masculinity. One of the problems with claims of toxic masculinity is that often the targeted behavior is more prevalent among women. Take anger that erupts into domestic violence. That is actually more common among women. Same with getting drunk and beating the kids. Same with extreme jealousy. Those things are only masculine in Hallmark or Lifetime movies. Out here in the real world it's women doing those things.
