  1. Dereliction of duty is serious and the officers who failed the community should be dealt with. What these officers make abundantly clear, however, is the "good guy with a gun" method is a fraud. Weapons designed to tear human bodies up like paper don't belong on our streets. Period. Justice Scalia said as much in his DC v Heller majority opinion, and Republicans agreed for decades...until they started losing elections left and right and became full-blown white nationalist in their get-out-the-vote strategy. Their embrace of these lies about guns, God, and government has corroded them to the core, and they can no longer govern at all, only obstruct.
