  1. Integrity matters. The problem with hundreds of elected Republicans, and a couple dozen elected Democrats, is that they have no integrity. Negotiating with someone with no integrity is pointless. The Republican party is not interested in policy or legislating anymore, because lying and cheating are so much easier and Republican voters won't punish them for their criminality.
