Tam DID NOT enter the country's capitol building by force in Hong Kong. Tam DID NOT interrupt the official process to effect the peaceful transfer of power in Hong Kong. Tam DID NOT amass dozens of heavily armed and trained militia members on the grounds of the capitol in Hong Kong. Tam DID NOT have supporters of him erect a gallows and noose on the capitol grounds in Hong Kong. "...sentenced Tam on 11 charges that included uttering seditious words, public disorder and incitement to take part in an unauthorized assembly. Tam was also fined HK$5,000 ($638)."
