Comments by "Meh Pluribus Unum" (@pluribus_unum) on "'A Definite Loser': Ron DeSantis Rails Against Vaccine Mandates Implemented By Biden" video.
Needlessly endangering the public, customers and co-workers isn't a defensible stance. Refusal to be vaccinated already leads to termination for many other viruses, this one should be no different.

@danielmorris6584 - Many employers require employees to have had a number of vaccinations, especially in education and healthcare. This has been true for decades.
2
@danielmorris6584 - Not slippery at all. The liberties and rights we have require responsibility and the consideration of how the exercise of those impact the liberties and rights of others. What undermines liberty far more is the lies and disinformation passively and actively fomented by political leaders about the security of our elections, as was proven brutally by the coup attempt of January 6th.

85% of the country agrees on vaccination. But, like everything else, the Republicans want you to think they represent around half the country -- they don't.
1
@user-qi2jj5nh4h - There is no truth to your claim, and in fact one of the biggest advantages Republicans have for 2022 at the moment is his continuance of some of the most objectionable (to the progressive wing of the Democratic party) Trump immigration policies like summary repatriation, as with the Haitian immigrants recently.
1
@user-qi2jj5nh4h - "releasing millions of illegals" is the big lie. Psaki made clear that individuals are to be quarantined if they show symptoms or reveal exposure, and anyone being removed under Title 42 isn't expected to be in the country long enough for vaccination to be relevant. Immigrants, like other residents and citizens, may be required to be vaccinated if they are employed by -- or housed by -- entities that require vaccination.
1
@user-qi2jj5nh4h - Expected by the administration to stay long, because they are being sent back not being detained or tracked and evaluated for legal immigration processing.
1
@user-qi2jj5nh4h - I honestly don't care what you think about my views. I do care about your well-being, however. May the road rise to meet you.
1
@viktoriyahansen1791 - Too many zeros. She said 5 million (5000000) since he was elected. She didn't claim he created them.
1
@dissociatedSoul - Which is your prerogative. If you're required to do so by your employer, it's their prerogative to terminate your employment.
1
@danielmorris6584 - The record of Trump's actions, the live coverage of the attempt and the subsequently released videos speak for themselves. Additionally, the idea that guns will be enough is laughable. Frankly, if Trump hadn't interfered in the response, it would've been shut down far more quickly. Measured by actions, not words, MPDC is the most patriotic police force in the nation, a population larger than some WY or VT, where taxation without representation is still in place.
1
@danielmorris6584 - Your source of information is severely lacking. In fact, a number of them were armed, including with pipe bombs, guns, knives, swords, machetes and blunt force weapons like metal and wood bats and pipes. Trump gave the Taliban a ridiculous deal, Biden ran on leaving and won handily.
1
@cynthiacynthia5952 - Exemption is one thing, outright refusal because of "freedom" nonsense is simply not supported by existing constitutional law.
1
@BKLYN_MADE_ME - This comment says far more about you than me.

@anthonybarnes5555 - Natural immunity means you risk disability or death for your less effective immunity. There's plenty of information on the superiority of the immunity provided by a safe and effective vaccination as opposed to risking disability or death for less effective immunity. I know people who've been disabled (can't walk up a flight of stairs anymore) and others who have died from COVID. I don't know anyone disabled or killed by the vaccines.
1
@anthonybarnes5555 - Also, two things: 1. More than 1/3rd of COVID-19 infections result in zero protective antibodies . 2. Natural immunity fades faster than vaccine immunity.
1
@anthonybarnes5555 - You are off on the study sample size by more than a factor of 10. "The [non-peer reviewed] study’s paper, uploaded to the preprint repository medRxiv, compared more than 16,000 people who were unvaccinated but had had COVID-19..."
1
@LG-km8fw - Not likely, but good luck.
1
@LG-km8fw - Here, you can borrow my four-leaf clover. 🍀
1
@The Grey - One of the main US available vaccines is mRNA, which means even if those risks weren't disputed by later studies, they're easily avoidable.
1
@anthonybarnes5555 - "Those Pfizer scientists" and non-peer reviewed studies don't displace the dozen or so peer-reviewed studies I've seen that contradict them.
