  1. Religion, God and morality are only connected through humanity. Morality is independent from religion, and many of the most moral, generous and sacrificing people I know are atheists. Equating morality with holding religious beliefs is like equating patriotism with being in the military. Many people of faith are immoral, including leaders, just as many serving in the military aren't patriotic, including leaders.
