I don't think you realize how many documents the archives has at all. "..swoop in and make sure nothing is removed..." That's a multi-year effort, not a couple hours.

@Metonymy1979 - Contrary to false equivalency in the media about Biden and Pence, this isn't a recurring problem. Bottom line is, it's a multi-person, multi-department, as multi-month effort to ascertain there is missing materials. Then it's a multi-year effort to ascertain all that might be missing and who might have it now.

@Metonymy1979 - Here's my point: 1. In order to know if anything is missing, they have to audit everything the Executive Branch had during four to eight years. 2. Due to the volume of material at issue, the number of personnel and locations involved -- that audit requires many, many months. My point is, you're mental framing of this check for missing documents is way off regarding the scale of that job.
