  2.  @WiIdbiII  - The gun law changes made by Democrats and the President do just that. That being said, if you knowingly sold the car to someone not legally permitted to buy a car, you're a criminal too. The number one source for illegal guns used in crimes, including the murders of police officers, are straw purchases. That's the case with far too many gun sales in these states with lax gun laws, including many, many instances of straw purchases where the seller admittedly knew it was a straw buyer fraudulently buying a firearm for someone else.
