Pokrovsk is my home town, I moved to Ukraine a decade ago (Ukrainian wife) and settled there. It's my adopted Ukrainian home town and I miss it dearly. Any hope of ever going back home is pretty much well gone forever now. You are not wrong about the mine, there's a huge slag heap outside the southern part of town, I used to see it every week or so riding the eko-trail (a forested area with some lakes) on my mountain bike. Sometimes in Pokrovsk, you'd see guys in cover-alls with black eyes at the local supermarket on the south side of town closer to the mine (The EKO-Market) it looked like they had "Alice Cooper" make up on, but this was actually the coal dust!!! Great run down Jason. I like your monologues. Most people that do them are kinda boring, yours are very interesting. 👍

@Noddy2750 Because all of the coal mines are now in the occupied territories. Donbas = DONetsk (coal) BASin. That's how the name came about you intellectually-crippled, mouth-breathing, half-wit. It's where all the coal is. Those old tanks are still better than the Soviet Russian garbage,. A 30 year old Bradleys IFV took out a T-90 here, a tank Putin bragged was "the most advanced in the world". 🤡
