  1. I noticed that Mr Friedman mis-spoke Soviet Union when he meant Russia, but that also brings up one disagreement I ha e with him over the issue of the nukes. When the USSR broke up they had 40,000 nukes (that's not a typo, it was 40,000) and nuclear devices, and we dealt with that ok, why should we be worried about about Russias 7,000 odd nukes ? Maybe that's a question worth putting to Mr Friedman next time he's on!
