Do you believe that Bangladesh should ally with China against other nonmuslim majority countries (Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, India, Sri Lanka, Israel, USA, Europe)?
If so, why?
India, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, USA, Europe, Israel, Australia all favor a rapidly growing Bangladeshi economy for their own self interest. What do you think can be done to accelerate Bangladeshi economic growth?

@earther-v2w "India should sever ties with Anglo-Saxon countries (5-eyes), Continental Europe, Nordic countries, Slavic countries who are out of Russian influence, and form alliances with Russia, China, North Korea and other like-minded nations then west will learn its importance. Also, it should call all NRIs from these countries,."
You have got to be trolling.
The communist party of china is an existential threat to India, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka. The international community needs to unite to contain Pres Xi's global aggression, to contain the global woke movement and to contain global conservative sunni islamism.
Sadly UK's woke PM Starmer is a large part of the problem. However, Biden and Trump are pro Indian.

@theglobalgambit Shekh Hasina is personally popular in Bangladesh. Why do you think this is?
I would beware of the global woke demonization of Bangladesh over her crackdown on conservative sunni islamism, promotion of liberal (sufi tilted) islam and friendship with nonmuslim majority countries (India, Israel, USA, Japan, South Korea, Philippines, Vietnam, Europe, China, Australia, Singapore). Democracy in Bangladesh is real. And the threat of externally supported islamist violence against Bangladesh is also real. It is easy for woke nonmuslims sitting in Europe, India, Canada, USA, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Philippines to condemn Bangladesh for her crackdowns on Hizb ut-Tahrir, Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Al Qaeda, LeT, LeJ, Daesh etc. as violating civil rights. However, these global islamist groups are a major threat to Bangladesh and foreign woke critics need to present their own constructive ideas on how to protect Bangladeshis from sunni islamism. Plus there is nothing wrong with Sheikh Hasina being pro nonmuslims.
Can you do another podcast about the Bangladesh economy and the IMF bailout? Sheikh Hasina will need to improve economic performance to win reelection in 2029. If India's economy grows significantly faster than Bangladesh's economy, Sheikh Hasina could become far less popular. Bangladesh is heavily culturally influenced by West Bengal India and travel + trade between both Bengals is surging.

@theglobalgambit Maybe this needs a longer conversation.
Look at the USA. Many say the USA is losing freedom because of Trump's legal troubles. But in reality, Trump dominates the news cycle and gets his message out. So is the US really not free?
Many Americans say that the US is becoming fascist, but they are clearly exaggerating. Similarly, when foreigners say that their countries are becoming fascist, they are also usually similarly exaggerating. Their motivation is often that their side (usually the woke side) isn't doing well in the polls. If a country has a ton of media, think tanks, academia critical of the government, then it is free. In fact, the more hysterical their critique of their country is (as multiethnic white supremacist patriarchal nazis), the more free said country probably is.
International ratings agencies have been heavily corrupted by the global woke movement and therefore, we need to do our own independent number crunching and look at the granular metrics they are using from the ground up.
You could interview Salvatore Babonese about comparative country sociological and economic statistics, maybe. Can send you his number.
FYI, I think freedom has retrenched in Bangladesh, just not to the degree the global woke media claims. Part of Sheikh Hasina's popularity is precisely because she has cracked down on Islamists, and this is popular.
Personally, I am a huge Sheikh Hasina fan and agree with her quiet push to join Indonesia and Saudi Arabia in opening diplomatic ties with Israel.
