Im so proud of my 17yo son. He just broke up with his GF because she "is a bad girlfriend." My wife and I are raising him traditional and I have taught him to be the leader in the relationship and if a woman wont get on his page then she isn't for him and he actually made the move and followed through with leaving her.

@DavFN123 Yeah i tell him all the time. He is in 11th grade and #3 in the whole school. Not to mention varsity track, all honors, etc.

@beanstheorem8727 I do that all the time so i can see how my kids think. Something i learned while in the military.

My wife and I are like this. We've been together since we were 15. We turn 38 this year.

@neondystopian I've already thought about that, lol. It won't be hard since my wife is Colombian, he can easily pick up a traditional woman in South America.

@elibennett6168 correct, marriage is a team effort. I've taught him to focus on him and through that process he will eventually find the one for him. Yes, I want a woman to get on his page. Follow him in dating and she will follow him in marriage. I've also taught him that as the leader in the relationship, he needs to take the people who he loves into consideration when making family decisions and he sees that from me. Always asking his opinion on options we should take as a family and sometimes doing that as well.
