  1. They are not illegal immigrants if they come by boat, but coming by boat is illegal without documents if you are a refugee or not, but that doesn't change their refugee status. This is basic stuff the Talk TV should know.

  3.  @gary637  They don't automatically dismiss asylum claims if they enter without documents. They are neither immigrants, just illegal entry, which anyone can do if they come by boat and forget their passport.
