  1. I've worked as a welder for years. When you apply for a welding job you get an interview and a welding test. The test determines if you can weld to their requirements or at least be trained for this company's specific duties. I never heard of anyone getting a welding job by reciting their race, gender and preference. They don't care: CAN YOU WELD???
