It's fine, if the AI goes rogue, we can just turn it off, cut the power....yeah but, what if it's already gained an understanding of physics greater than our own, and when you cut it's feed to the power grid, it just starts powering itself through some method like zero-point energy or pulling plasma from a star millions of miles away, we just wouldn't KNOW. It's hard to stop or defeat something you cannot understand or comprehend.
