I can give an example of crazy spending at my local city government job with federal money: We're doing renovations in my water treatment plant, my pipes are corroded, we have left over American Rescue Plan Act money we're utilizing, sounds great right? HALF the money we have available has to go to COMPLYING WITH THE LIMITATIONS OF THE FUNDING. There are so many strings attached that to spend $500k we're granted, we're handing half of it to an engineering company to 'MANAGE' the grant process and keep us in compliance with federal laws. $100k for sandblasting, $100k to the engineering firm for 'construction management' of the sandblasting! That's the contracts, fed-gov compliance, legal, bids, union liaison, on site supervisors, and it's taking YEARS to do this. We started this project in June 2024 and we're on schedule to not even turn a single bolt until AUGUST 2025! For money we were granted in 2021! Working on this has soured me on federal 'help' so I can imagine how bad the rot gets the higher you go.

Ilhan, if I was your doctor and I told you only 1% of your brain was inoperable cancer that will never get better and will only get worse, that's fine right? What's the big deal, it's just 1%. But maybe next year it's 2%. Maybe when it hits 2.5% you stop breathing or something else horrible stops working, point being, 1% rot is still ROT.

@theragoooverlord5021 YES, undoubtedly via some NGO or institute or think tank funded roundabout by USAID. There are groups who have been pushing 'family programming' for decades that 'guides' American entertainment. A LOT of them are tax funded.

LOTS of the best minds in tech cannot work for the government due to Drug Free workplace policies. If I was making 6-7 figures in the tech industry, and consuming whatever substances I want whenever I want as long as I'm productive, dafuq would I take a job for the feds with mandatory drug testing for like $100k/year? And most of those jobs if you disclose prior drug use at all it's insta-denied to hire. You're a super-spook who was a hired black bag assassin that took out civilians for (redacted) agency, HIRED, welcome aboard upstanding Patriot, but this other guy smoked weed last year F HIM, why are you even taking his application, dirty druggie loser problem with our country, get lost.
