  4. Teslas have AT LEAST 8 cameras, probably more, watching 360 degrees outside, most of the inside, and have a range of quite a bit. It's the absolute surveillance car, and insanely popular.

Utterly terrifying is the idea of being so irresponsible and making bad choices myself that cause me to have my vehicle repossessed. Imagine a car that ACTIVLY calls home all the time, that even the carmaker can at any time without your consent make massive changes to the car, including disabling ALL cars of that make on the road at any time, the ability to cripple your speed or even set your range to zero and make the car permanently useless... THATS A TESLA , those are all FEATURES presented as good things, and they're selling out, people LOVE the idea of the automaker being 100% at all times connected, including lots of interior and exterior always on cameras. That is not only accepted but in VERY high demand, so it's not a nightmare, for many it's an ASPIRATION.

All the same reason OnStar would never take off because it's too intrusive, huge success, or how no one would want a Tesla with all it's invasive cameras watching and recording your every move at all times, nope they're selling millions of them. People have convictions right up until they make them uncool or not trendy, then it's time to play along.

  10. Imagine there are adults out there that actually don't pay their bills early to account for any payment issues or delivery problems. I mean, I know there are idiots and stupid people out there, but is anyone THAT stupid to wait to the last minute to pay things and then blame someone else if THEY miss that payment? The future is crazy lol.

  11. This stuff has been in the car for over a decade, catch up. These problems have been at the forefront for a while, just go watch a Fast and Furious movie, they remote drove thousands of cars in one, from that portrayal ALL cars can be hacked and remote driven lol.

  12. No, quite the opposite, when they refer to owner they mean the titleholder. If your name is not on the title, you're just driving it and making payments, you're NOT the owner, you're just some guy they let drive it and make payments. That's why they can repossess it, you never owned it, you just possessed it, now they're REmoving your POSSESSion. You have all rights to the vehicle, sure, but only USE not ownership, like a condo. You live there but you don't OWN it. The person you pay to live there owns it.

  14. F-ing 2023, we're here actually having to explain to zoomers how finance works and that no, you do not own anything you have financed, your financiar owns it. You just get to use it. It's like renting, you don't own your apartment, you're just the guy paying someone to live there. You don't pay, you get evicted. You don't pay your car loan, you get evicted from your car. It's a pretty straight-up agreement from the start, I didn't know there was confusion about this.

  15. Yeah, that's all been happening for over a decade. It's been a modern nightmare for quite a while. My 2010 Expedition can do 24/7 connected vehicle tracking, navigation, oil and maintenance monitoring, even over the air software/firmware updates. That's a 2010, and it was a standard feature then, so this was in place and standard even 13 years ago. It has remote start, so it would logically follow it has remote KILL. If you can tell it to start, you can tell it to never start.

  17. Imagine driving your injured child to the hospital as an emotional human being, and because of this UNSAFE driving in an IMPAIRED state, you kill some other family. Maybe the self-driving features would NOT have been thusly incapacitated and gotten you there safer? Also, I live where there is a 45 minute ambulance response time, or a 15 min drive yourself to the ER, but trying to make that drive in 14 minutes you'll do it reckless, and then you'll rightfully get stopped by a state trooper or something. The time to train is now so when there is an actual emergency, you're working under pressure rather than reacting badly and speeding recklessly to the hospital. A car that shuts down because you're driving like an idiot, endangering your kid, is probably a good thing. Enhance your calm. Injured child is a time to NOT get all worked up or upset or EMO. That's not a very well thought out reaction.
