And irony, when I got my first Galaxy S, I was like "oh wow, this is so thin...and slippery, and hard to hold, and fragile"...10 minutes later I'm out of Best buy with an otterbox that doubles the phones size and now it seems more usable lulz.

If net neutrality had actual net neutrality, no politician would be pushing it. It's like the George Carlin bit about voting: if it actually made a difference, they wouldn't let us do it. NN is a topic that unfortunately takes HOURS of discussion to illustrate why it's a terrible scheme. You can't make something freer by regulating it. You can only do that by unregulating it.

@jacobleeson4763 YA KNOW, we could solve all of these problems FAR easier by just adulting up and treating phones like any other consumer electronic device and keeping it the F away from water. With water sealing no longer a concern, you can have all kinds of design freedom that's otherwise lost, so you don't have to hamstring and neuter devices. The sole reason I've ever used the 'waterproofing' features of my S8+ is to be lazy cleaning it. I can just wash it with warm water in the sink, but I don't NEED to do that. No previous phone I had ever had water issues. I had a Palm Pre get left in a backpack and submerged on a float trip back in the day, and it was fine by that monday when it dried out. I miss slide out physical keyboards on phones.

BUT, the sealed battery phones don't have metal either. They're glass. #Debunked.

That's 2 of the things I miss the most about my old phone before I moved up to the Samsung Galaxy S -series: I had 4 batteries for my old phone, which IIRC was an LG. TRUE rapid charging is swapping a battery in 30 seconds and having 100% life. AND other major feature, you can actually, definitively turn the phone off and know it's off, by removing the battery.

Because when you become that rich stranger (or people start to consider you as such) and YOU get fucked, you wish you'd advocated for your best interests. We hate rich people so much, yet we all want to BE a rich, wealthy person. Is that so we can hate ourselves? The propaganda is on all sides and directions. If you think you're not a part of it, that proves you are a part of it. Look into the Smith-Mundt Act and it's repeal under Obama.
