Best vaccine is the real thing. We need to start offering the young and healthy the ability to volunteer to be deliberately infected and recovered, to actively build our immune population. This is how vaccines originally worked. Deliberate infection with the very mild vaccinia virus created human immunity to the deadly smallpox virus. As mild as Covid is in the vast majority of cases, it makes more sense to control it's spread deliberately, so healthy people can volunteer/be screened to have the best outcome. We'd approach herd immunity far faster and probably with fewer deaths. We could house the deliberately infected in hotels for their quarantine period.

I saw Tenet in a local theatre, they've been fully open for months now. I even went to an advance screening not to long ago, with a NDA and everything. Place was social distance packed. Very busy.

Notice NO recommendation has ever said it stops the spread, everything is to SLOW the inevitable spread. Masks, handwashing, 6ft distance, not touching face, they are all stated to SLOW the spread, no talk of stopping it. We WILL all get it, the sole purpose of the precautions we're taking is so everyone doesn't get it at the same time, to distribute the ill over a longer timeline. And yes, it IS similar to AIDS. You have non-stop unprotected sex, you will contract disease, but if you take measures to stop the spread through the population through your own actions, such as monogamy, abstinence, and condoms, it will slow or even stop the spread starting with you.
