I had a friend of mine who's dad tried something like the invest in your daughter strategy, since the two older sons had issues, got kicked out of schools and such, he was going to raise her RIGHT, private Catholic school, most expensive and prestigious in the state since public school didn't work for his boys. 18 months in the new school she's pregnant at 17 and dropped out. $30,000/year tuition lost, wasted.

  6. Hell, at 40 I'm basically just starting. I gave up in my 20s after a bad breakup. Now it's like damn, somehow I didn't die, guess it's time to try at life again. Kids by 50 is the new goal, and I'll be retiring at that age regardless. No family means no reason to work.

  8. I'm trying to recruit as a supervisor at my workplace (government utility), and thats the issue I run into, I mention pay rate and they laugh because it's less than their current job, then when they find out what I make, they make more than that and try to recruit ME.

  9. I see that CONSTANTLY, I'm the only single man in my workplace. It's always "I have tomorrow off, but it'll be a full time work day, she's got a ton of stuff for me to do. What are you up to tomorrow?" And my answer is something like "IDK, hadn't thought about it, it's still today, I'll figure it out then, and it'll be whatever the hell I want to do, or not do". I've REALLY noticed it about AMBITION too. MOST men are content wherever they are, it's their WOMEN IN THEIR EAR all the time "you deserve more, you need more, ask for a raise, ask for a promotion, convince them you need XYZ, push for more, more more!". You ask those men they'll tell you they just want peace, while their women will sacrifice all the peace to get EVERYTHING. I think about climbing the ladder and it bothers me I'd have to hurt people I like to do that, women see that thought as WEAKNESS, no bro, you need to step on your friend's neck to reach that next rung FOR ME. F that.

I'm not married, never have been, but I'm friends with a LOT of older people in multi-decade marriages, and one feature I notice consistently with all of them, you see one of them in public, the FIRST question anyone who knows them asks is "Where is (spouse)?" because it's RARE to see them without each other, so there has to be some reason it's not BOTH of them there. They're literally no longer individuals, they're a SET, lol, like seeing a salt shaker, you automatically ask "where's the pepper shaker?". You just EXPECT to see them together, it's weird not to. And that's amazing. I'm envious.

  15. No matter what my salary is, I own my house and farm outright, so my net worth probably dwarfs any woman I ever do or will meet. Being debt free should be an auto-3 to 4 point rating bump for a man. Eh, he's like a 4, but then I saw his house, lakes, hundreds of acres, 850 credit score, and he's now a 9. Oh and he's single as in actually single, no kids, no divorces, who does she have to kill to get that man lol.

  18. I like the idea of things being the opposite, you divorce, The State seizes and liquidates everything you both own, you restart life single, alone, broke, with nothing, both of you. If you have kids the state takes them till 18 and they get all your liquidated asset proceeds. Sounds insane, it is by design to make marriage actually matter to everyone. You'd not flippantly marry someone if losing them resets you both in life. I feel if you even believe in divorce you cannot get married. That's like cutting yourself and expecting not to bleed.

My career, gone, why do I need to work? You make money to get things you get things to get women you get women to have kids. Break that circle at any point and why invest more?   40. I run a municipal water treatment plant. Dept head, 7 figure budget, 9 year anniversary here, I've made it all the way up to $22.50/hr. If I could move, most places starting with my credentials is $42/hr. My Boss makes NOTHING, he's a volunteer (Mayor). It's not all fatcats at the top and exploitation.

  50. I'll go further, if abortion is a right then men have to have it as well. You don't CONSENT to being a father, she's forced to have an abortion at your order. BOTH parents have to consent to birth, or the child has to be prevented. Equality. THEN NO ONE can say they didn't want this kid, you agreed to have it, now you're BOTH responsible for it equally. Just like I think divorce should mean the state takes EVERYTHING and your kids go go foster care, both man and wife end up on the street with zero. If that was the possible outcome, you'd be DAMN sure you really want to marry who you marry for life. Divorce rate, bastard rate, drops to almost zero.
