  2. I got over the drawing attention and getting comfortable with it when I worked as a student computer lab worker in college. Routinely, we'd get called out to a classroom for some computer/equipment issue, and it's you, on stage in front of 200 students, real-time troubleshooting a PC issue, and the class can't go on until you fix whatever it is. That's a REAL throw-you-in-the-deep-end way of not only drawing attention while you're nervous, but getting past it enough to do a skilled job under that pressure. After a few years it got way easier.
