  3. It's one of the features of having trauma from being an adopted child that can be somewhat framed as a positive, it's really easy for me to dissociate lol. I remember being bored at work one day, just staring into the far distance, eyes diverged, just letting time pass and ambient noise pass me by, and a coworker brings me out of said reverie by shaking my shoulder and asking "How do you DO that?!" Huh, do what? "Just, turn off like that, for minutes at a time, how do you do that?!" Coping/Defense mechanisms are fascinating.

  7. I'm 41 and don't use TikTok at all...EVERY one of my mid-50s employees at work is on TikTok hours a day, it's frightening.
