  1. What Asmond talks about, a slow responding situation you get to see go wrong in real time and can't do anything about it, is my daily life in my job, running a water plant. Something can go wrong, especially by mistake, instantly, and by the time you notice or catch it, the damage is already done and you have to wait HOURS for the correction to come around, and that whole time you're sweating. It's just better to not make mistakes in the first place. It's a terrible feeling to know "Yeah, this was a quick and easy fix, if we'd seen the problem 2 hours ago...now it's going to take 8 hours to fix."
