As a drinking water professional, I started this thinking well, 3 gallons of water in 2 hours, that's not too terrible, there has to be more to this story...then he says it was distilled water, ah, say no more fam.
NEVER, EVER drink distilled water unless it is your absolute last available option. Only seawater would be worse. It's not only distilleds lack of minerals and ions that causes problems, but it often has a very low pH value and no alkalinity. If you do drink it on an empty stomach this is why you'll notice it causes heartburn. Ideal water ph is 7.4 to about 9, most distilled I've tested is about a 4.5. Bottled water is very similar in many brands, and should be avoided for the same reasons
