I tell people the most important part of my university education was the 7 years I worked as student help in academia, it showed me these 'learned' people are just as if not more vain, petty, treacherous, lecherous, and conniving than any other person. I almost saw a cat fight between two instructors in their later years, women, over one staying over time in a room and cutting into the other's class time, and trying to say because she is a full professor and the other is just an adjunct professor, she should get more time...way to care about the education of HER students that bought that time you're pilfering.

What's worse: I graduated in 2002, and as a problem child I remember COUNTLESS meetings like this, that sounded exactly like this. The term my parents liked to alway use was TRIVIAL. You're taking my son out of class for trivial reasons, stop it. That was the 90s. This is nothing new.
