  2. Irony: trump could have said it would hit Canada, which NO ONE predicted, and he'd be called an idiot...then it trashes Nova Scotia. Perhaps NOAA should be worrying more about getting the next one predicted within a few thousand miles accuracy before casting aspersions on the predictions of anyone else.

  3. True, and people in Alabama SHOULD have been preparing. Did the hurricane hit Alabama, no, but it also DID hit freaking CANADA that was NOT ready because no forecasters saw that coming because they're basically guessing and gambling. Maybe it's just my mindset from growing up here in Midwest tornado Alley, but if there is a thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado within a state away, you go to bed with shoes on and keep an overnight bag next to the door, because that state-away tornado could be leveling your house with zero warning. There is zero excuse for anyone ever to be injured by a hurricane. It's the sole natural disaster that calls a week ahead and tells you it's coming. You could walk entirely on foot and be several states outside the hurricane zone before it hits, there is NO excuse, not today.
