Yolo is why I'm 39, single, childless, and never married.
Yolo taken the other way, the way I took it, was slow down, whoa, you only live once, so EVERY MISTAKE is a fuckin disaster! Because you only live once you have to avoid the BIG MISTAKES like the wrong marriage, divorce, kids out of wedlock, kids in the wrong wedlock, divorcing and breaking kids, adoption. All the mistakes made that MADE ME, I'd love to avoid. I was the accidental child of a teenage unwed couple, I was adopted, so I avoid hookup culture, because I see first hand how much destruction one little mistake like creating a life by accident can have, and I'd kill myself before I'd force another to go through it.
So yeah, Yolo to me is perfect or nothing. I'm breaking the cycle.
I'll have a 'normal' family, or none I can fuckup. Maybe a real great person could change my mind there, but that person you might doom by your choices, THEY only get one chance too, so you OWE THEM the best chance you can give them.

from that, YOU are the SOLE person I want to have kids.
REMEMBER, if someone wants something, they're probably not worthy of it. Give it to whomever wants it the LEAST. That's how POWER works. People who want to lead are the worst leaders and should be the last to lead. The reluctant leader is often the best, because he appreciates what he's been granted, the responsibility that comes with it. You actually care so you'd do great, because it's not in you to do bad, you wouldn't LET yourself. You're like me, I don't want to be a dad because I think I'd be bad at it, I'm afraid I'd be too good at it, that I'd take it so seriously it became my life....like a PARENT should.

It's so crazy to me, as a single never married man, to see men who were married tell men to not get married. It reeks of pulling up the ladder after you got yours, and saying naw, the grass is no different over here, don't you dare hop that fence and come over here!
Just saying, I see it a LOT. I never see men say to other men "Hey, I tried this pussy thing, nope, not worth it, not for you bro, stick to that hand, in fact I don't respect any man that's getting laid, nope, what a loser he'd be".
Being single is the #1 thing that embarasses me as a man to other men, because I grew up around old people, and you were only single if your were a widow, a widower, or a HARLOT that never got picked. It's the man bare minimum trifecta, car, job, girlfriend. You don't have all three, what a loser is how I remember feeling as a kid.
