  2. Imagine if you're a religious group of preppers similar to the Branch Davidians watching this, it would be THE tool to supercharge your 'group'. You could point to this debacle and say "SEE, they are coming for you and your guns, and THAT is how, they'll shoot you up then burn everyone alive!", and the new members come pouring in.

You could just as easily call the feds, especially in that era, a cult ran by deranged, yet elected, leaders and staffed by loyal followers. Followers so loyal they'd run into mass gunfire to collect NFA taxes.
