The SAT is not there to test for anything else. Baseball tryouts exist to secure players with an aptitude for baseball. My family was poor, neither of my parents had finished High School. We had no books in the house except for what I brought from the library. Being white did not get me a good SAT score. I had no special tutors because those are for the wealthy dumb kids. I got a good score because I WORKED for it.
